Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com)-- A 6-year-old Duluth boy was killed Saturday after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle.

Duluth Police were called to the accident around 3:42 Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of Clark Court.

Police say a 45-year-old Duluth woman, Bridgette Marie Tyson, was driving a van on Clark Court when she struck the 6-year-old boy, Daniel Joseph Borisovich Nektalov, who was crossing the street on his bike.

Authorities say the driver indicated she did not see the boy until she struck him.

The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation, but authorities say the driver showed no signs of impairment.
