Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth man accused of stabbing someone with a sword back in February has been found guilty in St. Louis County Court.

A jury found 43 year old Kyle McClain guilty of 1st Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Assault in connection with a stabbing.

Back in February, police were called to the Duluth Detoxification Center along East Superior Street on the report that a man had just walked in with a stab wound to his chest.

Officers followed a blood trail in the snow which led them to a residence in the 1000 block of East 3rd Street where they located three men inside.

An investigation led to the arrest of McClain who police believe was involved in the stabbing.

Authorities collected a sword found at the residence that was thought to be used in the incident.

McClain will be sentenced on December 12th.
