Duluth man strikes it big with $1M Powerball win

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A Duluth man can consider himself lucky. He's one million dollars richer after choosing to hold on to his lottery ticket.

Todd Solarz, hit the jackpot while betting his bucks on the Powerball during the June 7th drawing.

Get this - Solarz almost threw away his ticket before discovering that it was a golden ticket.

He says at first he thought the numbers weren't matching up, but as the numbers were called off, everything fell into place.

Solarz purchased his ticket at Holiday Station on Skyline Parkway in Proctor.

Solarz picked up his winnings in Roseville, Minnesota this morning.
