Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Duluth officials took the question of funding street repairs to Northland business leaders Tuesday.

At the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce meeting, city council members and the city's Chief Administrative Officer gave information and asked for input on how to fund repairs. They say the main issue is how to make up for the lost $6 million a year which they used to get from Fon–du–Luth Casino revenue.

The two main funding options right now are raising property taxes or implementing a monthly fee.

Council members say that there will be much more public discussion on how to fund street repairs in the coming weeks.
