Eden Prairie, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Eden Prairie Police Department says that DNA belonging to a missing woman has been found on a jacket inside of her ex-boyfriends vehicle.

In a press release, police say that DNA analysis has revealed the presence of Mandy Matula's DNA in a blood sample from a jacket found in David Roe's car.

24-year-old Matula was last seen on Wednesday night at Miller Park with Roe. Roe was identified as a person of interest in the case and agreed to meet with investigators. He then shot himself in the parking lot of the police center and died on Friday.

Authorities also revealed that an unfired bullet found Saturday in the search for Matula, came from the same gun that her ex-boyfriend used to shoot himself after being called in for questioning about her disappearance.

Police continue to investigate both physical and electronic evidence that might lead to Matula's location, including Roe's vehicle, cellphone and computer, his home and financial records.

Authorities continued searches Tuesday on lakes in Eden Prairie and are following up on numerous leads.
