Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The by and large undeveloped Esko Light Industrial/Commercial Business Park is about to be home to a major tenant in the RV business.
According to Coates RV spokespeople, the Carlton County Commissioners approved a $145,000 economic development loan agreement at the end of June to aid the company in purchasing 15 acres in the Esko Business Park.
The near–60 acre park itself sits in between Highway 61 and I–35.
According to their website, Coates RV has been in business since 1938, and is currently headquartered in the Hugo / Forest Lake area, with another operation in Williston, North Dakota.
Company spokespeople say the plan so far is to build a significant RV facility, similar to their main Hugo facility, with indoor showroom space, service bays, and a parts and repair department.
In the end, the facility is expected to employ at least 30 people.
Groundbreaking for the new facility is expected sometime in the spring of 2015.
