Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A 25 year old Duluth man was found dead this morning after his car hit a guard rail and then rolled over on the Munger Shaw Road.
Leif Sawyer Chilman was found dead around 7am after a passerby reported finding a a car that had rolled over near the intersection of the Munger Shaw Road and the Abrahamson Road.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, their investigation so far has revealed that Chilman was driving northbound on the road when his car struck the guard rail of an approaching curve.
The truck then left the road and rolled over into the trees.
Authorities say that Chilman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the car. Investigators also believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
Authorities believe the accident happened a few hours before the passerby spotted the car.
This incident remains under investigation.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Volunteer Rescue Squad, the Grand Lake Volunteer Fire Department and the St. Louis County Medical Examiners Office all responded to the scene.
