Spirit Mountain to extend its season

March 25, 2014 Updated Mar 25, 2014 at 2:39 PM CST

Duluth, Minn. (NNCNOW.com) - Spirit Mountain is going to extend its season due to the prolonged cold snap and high consumer demand.

It was scheduled to close on Sunday, March 30th, but will now remain open with spring hours and spring rates as long as the levels of business and snow conditions make it possible.

Spirit Mountain says they were forced to close seven times this season due to bitter cold temperatures.

The final closing date will be posted on our website when Spirit Mountain makes its closing decision.
