Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) - A Federal Judge has ordered a temporary halt on same-sex marriages in Wisconsin.
Federal Judge Barbara Crabb struck down Wisconsin's ban on same-sex marriage just last week, but late this afternoon Crabb issued an injunction while the state appeals the ruling.
All but 12 counties in the state said they would issue marriages licenses
Washburn County was one of the 12 counties that did not.
City officials stated they wanted to avoid any potential lawsuits while the case is pending.
