Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Firefighters battled flames and smoke late Monday afternoon at an auto body shop outside Duluth.

A half dozen rural fire departments and the Air Guard responded to the fire call at Martin Road Auto Body just after 4 p.m. Monday.

Initial reports indicate the fire began in the shop area, traveled into the ceiling and spread into an attached barn like structure.

People who were inside the buildings escaped without injury.

No word yet on what may have caused the fire.
