Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The first findings of a long-term study on the Northland economy show slow, but continued expansion.

The Regional Economic Indicators Forum (REIF), combines research from faculty and students at UMD, UWS and St. Scholastica.

The first set of findings were presented during a breakfast Tuesday at the DECC.

The National Bank of Commerce is coordinating and funding the research, which covers 15 counties in the Northland.

Forums will be held every six months to update the community on the study's findings. The next forum will be held October 28, 2014.
