Duluth, MN (Northland’s NewsCenter) --- While many bob for apples, others bob for pumpkins.

Two-hundred pumpkins filled Duluth's YMCA family pool today for the third annual floating pumpkin patch event.

Whether the pumpkin was the roundest or biggest, Northlanders scooped their favorite pumpkin out of the pool as it floated by.

Proceeds from each pumpkin bought from the floating pumpkin patch will be given to the YMCA's Annual Strong Kids Campaign.

"Its funds that help families and kids that maybe can't afford a 'Y' membership or 'Y' programs; it helps them be able to have the opportunity to access those," Emily Marshall, Aquatics Director said.

The pumpkins were donated to the 'Y' by Mount Royal Fine Foods.
