Fond du Lac Band Reaches Out to Duluth

DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Fond du Lac Band Chairwoman Karen Diver reached out to Duluth City Councilors in a letter Friday, conveying the Band's willingness to move forward to create a better relationship.

She wrote the Band recognizes the Band and City have more in common than have differences and adds the two governments need to find a way to co-exist peacefully and respectively within the confines of the law.

The Band and City have been in a lawsuit regarding the City of Duluth's share of revenue from the Fond Du Luth Casino.

The Duluth City Council plans to discuss the pending lawsuit on Monday.
