Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Fond du Lac neighborhood in Duluth was among the hardest hit by 2012's June flooding.

The neighborhood's community center needs to be demolished by January due mostly to flood damage.

Although the Fond du Lac neighborhood will loose their community center, the city says there are no other options than to demolish the building.

The city plans to replace the community center with some other community amenity, and they are seeking input from residents.

"So we've explored some possibilities - for - just as examples - tennis courts, baseball courts."

Another community center in West Duluth is also scheduled to be demolished.
