Former Visit Duluth CEO headed to St. Paul

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Visit Saint Paul announced Tuesday that former Visit Duluth President, Terry Mattson, has been hired as President & CEO of Visit Saint Paul and the RiverCentre Authority.

Mattson resigned his post at Visit Duluth last fall in search of a new challenge after 28 years with the organization in different capacities.

While in Duluth, Mattson led a staff 12 and oversaw a budget of nearly $3 million. He had significant success creating demand for the destination by creating, planning and executing events including Tall Ships Duluth which drew 200,000 people in 2013.

Mattson's wife meanwhile, longtime Spirit Mountain executive director Renee Mattson, has announced her resignation from the Duluth destination.

Terry Mattson's new position with St. Paul is effective February 3, 2014.
