BBB Warns Against Claiming a False Reward From Target or Walmart

June 10, 2014 Updated Jun 10, 2014 at 5:35 PM CST

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota and North Dakota is urging people to either report or shred postcards that falsely claim people have $100 in gift savings for either Target or Walmart.

The postcards are not sent from those retailers, and do not list a return address. Instead they list a phone number (844–633–9988) that they ask post card receivers to call in order to claim their prize.

The postcards have been spotted in the Northfield, Minn., area.
If you receive the postcard, the BBB asks that you call the FTC at 877–382–4357. You can also report them by contacting your local post office.
