-- Community Action Duluth gathered this morning to help save northlanders some serious cash on their tax returns.
The IRS estimates that one in five American workers fails to claim the earned income tax credit.
Community Action Duluth is providing free tax preparation for families and individuals earning 49-thousand dollars or less a year.
There goal is to work with Northlanders to claim everything they are eligible for, including the earned income tax credit...and it's all for free.
"Last year I went to the community action duluth tax site and it was fast it was easy it was accurate and I got my money in less than a week so I'll never go to a paid preparer again.
Anybody interested in getting your taxes done for free can head over to Community Action Duluth's main office on Tuesdays at 4:30 and Saturday mornings at 8:45 starting January 31st.
If you're a senior, have dependents or a disability you can be helped at the the Laura Mccarthur School Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30 pm.
