Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The "Honor Flight Northland" is gearing up for another trip to Washington D.C., but needs your help.

The next flight is scheduled to take off on June 7th, but the organization needs to raise $90,000 to cover the cost of the trip.

A fundraiser is being held at the end of this month.

The flight takes World War two veterans to Washington D.C. for a day trip to visit the world war two memorials.

An organizer for the trip says the average World War Two vet is between 88 and 98 years old and they deserve to see these special monuments before they die

"Most of them it's going to be the last and only chance they have to get to see it. And so I feel it is our duty to help them get there," said Tim Jezierski, Honor Flight Northland fundraiser.

If you want to help send vets on the next Honor Flight, the fundraiser will be October 26 at the American Legion in West Duluth.
