Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Glensheen Mansion is turning off the lights and opening up doors to guests to tour the landmark all under flashlight beam.
This tour further explores the lives of the servants while showcasing special aspects of the museum's rare, intact collection of artwork and furnishings best seen at night.
Officials say tiles and paintings in the century-old mansion come to life by the spotlight-style lighting.
"You do get to see the objects in a whole new way, because Glensheen is a very detailed, opulent house. And it's not until you really pinpoint something with a flashlight can you see the beauty of one particular object," said Lucie Amundsen, the marketing director for the Glensheen Mansion.
