Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - If you think you've seen everything there is to see at Duluth's Glensheen Mansion, think again!

For the first time ever, the mansion is opening up additional rooms and spaces never before seen by the public, or even a handful of staff.

The Nooks and Crannies tour leads people through the second floor of the Carriage House, the freight elevator, and Clara Congdon's private balcony.

Glensheen's Interim Director Dan Hartman says the tour is all part of the effort to make the mansion a recurring destination, while boosting more visits from curious first timers.

"For example, Glensheen in the early 1980s had about 140,000 visitors a year. Now we're in the mid–fifties," said Hartman, "you know, we're happy last year we brought the number up a little bit, but that's because of all these new things we're trying to do."

The Nooks and Crannies tour will be offered daily at 10:45, and 2:45.
