St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed Wednesday, May 15, 2013 as Law Enforcement Memorial Day in the state.

The proclamation is a tribute to Peace Officers who have lost their lives or were injured in the line of duty.

As part of Law Enforcement Memorial Day, the families of Tom Decker, killed in the line of duty on November 29, 2012 and Josh Lynaugh, who died in the line of duty on February 16 will be dedicating the names of their loved ones on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C.

In addition, Dayton has ordered all flags at state and federal buildings to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday to honor those killed or injured in the line of duty.
