St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Governor Mark Dayton says he feels very reassured that the state is on track with electronic pull-tab sales.
That comment comes on the heels of a briefing Wednesday morning with the Executive Director of the Gambling Control Board and staff from the state's budget office.
During the budget forecast announcement last week, financial experts said pull-tabs weren't being implemented as quickly as planned.
The Governor's office says there has been a gap between projections and actual sales, up to this point, due to a number of factors, but that is to be expected when launching a brand new program like electronic pull-tabs.
Taxes from the games will be used for the state's portion of a new NFL stadium.
