Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Along with many of the fun events happening this weekend for Grandma's Marathon, there will also be quite the variety of live music.

Friday's headliner is the CMT-nominated duo 'Love and Theft,' with special guest Ashley Monroe.

Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson from Love and Theft say even with the chilly weather, they can feel the warmth coming from the people in the Northland.

"Why is it exciting? (whispers to Eric) 'Cause he's got a grandma too, and it's called Grandma's Marathon, so that's exciting for him. No we just love playing. We love touring, we love, ya know, being on stage, we love going to different towns we've never been to and this is our first time here so it's pretty exciting," said Liles.

Saturday night's entertainment will include the bands Aer, Pop Rocks, and Rhino, among others.

Gates at the main tent will open at seven.

Music at the second tent on Saturday will include: Red Mountain, Big Tree Bonsai, Charlie Parr, Tin Can Jin, the Erik Koskinen Band, the Lower 48, Big Wave Dave and the Ripples, and the 40nthefloor.
