Duluth, MN (NNNCOW.com) - Close to 850 Grandma's Marathon runners made Saturday's trek to the starting line in Two Harbors aboard the North Shore Scenic Railroad Marathon Train.

Spokespeople say another 48 rode in full first–class style aboard the Lake of the Isles Dining Car, and got a fresh breakfast of eggs, sausage, and French toast along the way.

An additional 68 people received free coffee, and also had access to the "Main Line Bloody Mary" bar in coach.

The Railroad partnered with Grandma's four years ago to help shuttle runners.

Officials say this is the only marathon in the country where you can take a train to the starting line.
