Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Two of the most popular things at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth are the river otters and their wet and wild antics.

Not long ago, the Aquarium got a new pair of the slippery critters and now they need names.

On Tuesday the Aquarium announced a contest to name the animals.
The two young otters replace one that died last year and one that was recently retired at the age of 17.

Several sets of potential monikers have been chosen and the time is now to vote on them.

"We have five pairs of names that we have based on Minnesota parks and rivers, some are local rocks, some of them pay homage to their homeland." said Allison Iacone of the Aquarium.

The otters come from Louisiana where they were rescued from traps.
