Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Fire Department is warning beach-goers that there is a high risk of rip currents along Park Point this weekend making swimming conditions dangerous.
The high risk warning means that current wind and wave conditions can support potentially life–threatening rip currents.
Officials say stay out of the water regardless of your swimming experience.
Red flags are flying along Park Point to indicate the warning, and there are currently no life guards along the beach.
The warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday, but officials say the public will be notified if conditions improve before then.
