Walker, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northland was waiting a long time for spring to come, and now that summer is here, the rain is flowing, it seems all at once.

Due to the high water levels on lakes throughout Cass County, MN, the sheriff's office is advising a no wake zone within 300 ft. of shoreline on all lakes in the area. This no wake zone will be in effect until water levels go back down.

The sheriff, Tom Burch, would like to remind homeowners to use caution to make sure any water crafts/boating gear is tightly secured to their docks and not floating free.

Reports of property damage to docks, floating bogs and other items are being brought to the sheriff's office.
