Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The ramps from southbound Highway 5/Piedmont Avenue to northbound I-35 and to southbound I-535/Blatnik Bridge will close June 25.
Crews will be working all day to replace an overhead sign structure and MNDot says that closing the two ramps is the safest and fastest way to replace the sign structure.
The ramp to southbound I-35 from southbound Hwy 53/Piedmont Ave. will remain open.
A detour will be set up for motorists traveling south on Highway 53/Piedmont to access northbound I-35 and to access southbound I-535/Blatnik Bridge. Motorists may use the Bong Bridge as an alternative.
Work is expected to begin at 7 a.m. Tuesday and should wrap up at 8 p.m.
