BARNUM, MINN --- A level three sex offender who was set to to start living near a trail in Moose Lake this weekend, will instead be living in Barnum Township without an address.

The Carlton County Sheriffs office says 27-year-old Kenneth Lee Nelson will be moving to Barnum this weekend. Authorities say that an offender can be classified as homeless, but is required to physically report in once a week.

Nelson was released from jail almost a year ago after serving time for raping a female adult.

A community notification meeting has been scheduled for Monday, August 2nd at 6:15 p.m. at the Barnum High School Auditorium.
