Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A proposed dog park in the East part of Duluth may have the support of many Duluth dog owners, but many of those who live near the proposed park are saying it's not a good idea.

If approved the park would be at Russel Square.
Many homeowners living close to the park have sent letters to the city with their concerns.
They say dogs at the park would cause their own dogs to bark inside their homes creating chaos.
They're also worried about increased traffic and parking on their block where children live.

"I'm going to have to see a park that I totally love and is one of the reasons we moved here ... be completely rearranged and destroyed." said homeowner, Sandi Ackerman.

The homeowners also say the park is currently used by many children in the area for playing games and flying kites, but the dog park would require people to be 16 or older to use the park without an adult.
