Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Easter Bunny was no slouch in the Northland this weekend.

He, along with hundreds of other Northlanders, paid a visit to the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth Saturday for the annual "Easter Eggstravaganza."

Families got to tour the zoo grounds, enjoying the chance to get their faces painted like some of their favorite animals, and snapping photos with the big bunny himself.

For grade schoolers Hailey and Sydney Mullen, it was all about the egg hunt for prizes.

"...walking around, and finding the eggs, and putting them in the basket," said Sydney, smiling.

"Yeah, that was my favorite part," chimed in Hailey.

Zoo officials say the event is a major fundraising source for their general operations budget.
