Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Hundreds of Northlanders packed Grandma's Sports Garden in Duluth Sunday to show that they were a part of Team Tony.

The Sports Garden was the official location for the Benefit for Tony Housey, who has been a registered nurse for the past 18 years at Saint Luke's hospital.

15 of those years have been in the ICU, helping others in their greatest need. Sunday, however, it was Housey's turn to be the recipient of some love and attention.

Housey was diagnosed with stage four abdominal cancer at the end of April, and friends say the benefit will help with mounting medical bills.

"He's a great guy that has gotten stricken with a really tough illness," said friend and coordinator Dale Odegard, "and his family and him need some help, and we're here to back him up."

The benefit featured live music, a silent auction, and a number of raffle prizes.
