Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - An eruption of pinks, greens, and all things illuminated lit up Bayfront Park in Duluth Saturday evening, all thanks to the hundreds of area runners taking part in the Glow Run 5K.
Organizers call the 3.1 mile race a one of a kind event.
It features a music filled course complete with "glow zones," that help enhance the various glowing objects that runners don as part of their outfit.
Illuminated athlete Alicia Miller was running the race with her parents.
She says she had come up with the perfect race strategy beforehand.
"Jog first, walk in the middle, and then run at the end," said Miller, at the starting line.
Good thing for the rest of the racers it's a non competitive race, which invites runners of all ages and skill sets to take part.
It all wrapped up with an after party in Bayfront Park.
