Independence Day firework display set to take off in Duluth

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The July 4th firework display in Duluth is set to take off, but the event will throw off some bridge schedules.

The Aerial Lift Bridge will be secured down from 7 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday, July 5. This means all foot and vehicle traffic will be able to cross the bridge throughout the firework display event. The city says vessels that are able to will be still be allowed to pass under the bridge.

The Pedestrian Slip Bridge (Blue Bridge) in Canal Park will also be secured in the down position during the firework display. It will be secured down from 8 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. that evening.
