Iron County, Wis. (NNCNOW.com) -- The Iron County Board unanimously voted Thursday to evict the harvest camp in the Penokee Hills.

The Lac Courte Oreilles harvest camp set up its tents almost a year ago in protest of Gogebic Taconite's proposed Iron Ore Mine in the Penokee Hills.

The county board has determined the camp has been violating a 14 day camping ordinance.

The Iron Country Sheriff's department will serve the camp with the eviction notice.

Organizers of the camp will have six business days to pack up and leave the area.
