Rochester, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson has won the endorsement to run against Governor Mark Dayton in the general election.

But as of now, he'll still face off against three other Republican hopefuls in the august primary. They include Representative Kurt Zellers, Marty Seifert and Scott Honour.

"Our focus is on things that matter to all of us," said Honor, after announcing he wouldn't be seeking party endorsement, "we're going to create more jobs, and more opportunities, for Minnesotans. That's going to be pairing back regulations to a prudent level, so that we can open up mines like Polymet, and take advantage of our natural resources."

Honour was in Duluth Saturday with his official Lieutenant Gubernatorial running mate, first–term state Senator Karin Housely, as part of his campaign.
