St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - An Administrative LawJudge says there is probable cause in a case brought against a Minnesota House Candidate involving an endorsement.

Jason Metsa, the DFL endorsed candidate for the District 6B seat, says the GOP candidate, Jesse Colangelo , falsely stated he was endorsed by the National Rifle Association.

According to court documents, Colangelo says he put the endorsement on lawn signs and campaign material over the summer.

However, Metsa claims the NRA never endorsed either candidate and that his opponent either knew it was false or communicated it with reckless disregard.

Colangelo says he mistakenly interpreted the NRA endorsement for the 'Primary Election' as an endorsement for both the primary and general elections.

The case will now go before three Administrative Law Judges to determine whether Colangelo knowingly violated state law.
