Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Woodland Hills, a non-profit youth program, is partnering up with Trailfitters, Frost River and Bent Paddle Brewing Company to add a kayak raffle to their annual fundraising efforts.
The kayak is being raffled to support life-changing programs and services for kids and families in the Woodland Hills program.
The kayak was donated in part by Marine General and was displayed at Trailfitters before its current location at Frost River.
Monday, an urban "portage" transported the kayak from Frost River across the street to the Bent Paddle Brewing Company, where the kayak will be displayed through mid-August.
"This will be our 18th annual Golf Classic fundraiser, for the kids, so we have a strong history of the golf event and we wanted to add something new this year, and the kayak raffle is new,” Quality Officer of Woodland Hills, Michelle Nelson, said.
The kayak raffle is a pre-event to the "Fore the Kids Golf Classic" which is an annual Woodland Hills Fundraiser, which will be held August 15th at the Nemadji Golf Course in Superior.
