International Falls, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Thursday's strong winds and rain wreaked havoc on a number of resorts on Lake Kabetogama.

Amateur video show what's left of the dock at the Pine Cove Resort on the Northwest end of the lake.

The owner, Phil Hart, said Thursday's winds of 35 to 40 miles per hour was the tipping point for the docks, on top of heavy rains about a week ago.

Hart says this is the worst devastation he's seen in 25 years of owning the resort.

Meanwhile, the heavy rains in International Falls prompted a call for volunteers to fill sandbags at the city beach.

The city's Fire Department says the sandbags will be loaded on to pallets and can be taken out to homes that may be in flood prone areas.

The city is in need of more volunteers Friday morning.
