Lark of Duluth to be featured in WI festival celebrating 100 years of commercial aviation

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - 2014 marks the 100 year anniversary of commercial aviation, and Duluth played no small role in the dawn of a new era.

The original Lark of Duluth, owned by Duluthians Julius Barnes and W.D. Jones, made the first historic commercial flight across Tampa Bay on January 1st, 1914.

100 years later, the Lark's official replica will be featured at EAA Air Venture 2014 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin from July 28th to August third.

Over 500,000 visitors are expected to take part in this year's event.

The replica will be featured in front of the Vintage Red Barn the entire week.
