Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The ice fishing season is winding down across the Northland.
Most lakes are now closed across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Only a few lakes are still open along the Minnesota-Canada border until March 31st.
On the Lake of the Woods, the ice is still between 26-34 inches thick with nearly 20 inches of snow covering the top base.
Check out these pictures from one group's trip to this northern lake as we all fondly remember our trips out fishing this winter season.
