Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A farm, just south of Wrenshall, debuted a new product that hit store shelves Tuesday.

The Locally Laid Egg Company launched a new line of chicken feed called "Lola's Layer Mix."

Farmer Jason Amundsen says his product falls into the middle of what's currently available...cheap feed made with poultry meal and meat and bones, or highly-priced organic feed.

Amundsen says his chicken feed is high quality and affordable and offers many benefits to both chickens and humans.

"The thing that separates us is that we can use a non genetically modified corn- non GMO corn. The second thing that separates us is the quality of the vitamins and mineral mix that we use. We did an incredible search and we found the best product possible to put into this feed, " said Farmer Jason Amundsen.

The product is available at eight locations, including Whole Foods Co-op and Homecroft Foods in Duluth.
