Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton may be the head of the state, but Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon is the head of this year's fishing opener.

This whopper of a walleye was one of two that the Lieutenant Governor reeled in on Gull Lake, in Nisswa, around 1 AM Saturday morning.

Hers was the first catch among Governor Dayton and Eighth District Congressman Rick Nolan for the Governor's Opener.

The team, guided by area fishing guides, started the season just after midnight.
