Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - According to the nonpartisan research group, Center for Responsive Politics, the race has recorded the sixth–highest spending by outside groups among all house races in the country, with nearly $5.6 million spent so far.

Meanwhile the Cravaack Campaign has raised $2.1 million as of today, while the Nolan Campaign has raised close to $900,000 dollars.

The spending has supported a plethora of negative campaign ads throughout the state.

The outside money spent in this race is more than 17 times what was spent in 2010, when Chip Cravaack defeated Congressman Jim Oberstar.
