Wright County, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota anglers are living the dream on several lakes in the state’s Wright County west of the Twin Cities. Due to poor winter conditions and thick ice, conservation officers are predicting a fish die-off.

As a result, liberalized fishing is permitted for a short period of time on specified lakes. The Minnesota DNR has this order for liberalized fishing on eleven lakes, including Pelican Lake in Wright County.

There is also a Pelican Lake near Orr, Minn., which should not be confused with this DNR order. To read more about what the specified lakes are, please click here.
