St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - More affordable health care could soon be available for children and adults in Minnesota.
The House passed a piece of legislation on Monday that expands Medicaid to cover 35,000 previously uninsured Minnesotans.
The bill expands access to healthcare by implementing the Medicaid expansion option under the Federal Affordable Care Act, promising savings of more than a billion dollars in state tax dollars.
The bill, authored by Representative Tom Huntley (DFL - Duluth), now heads to the Senate.
