St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A bill creating a Minnesota Insurance Exchange is now on its way to the Governor's desk.
The Senate OKed a conference committee report Monday afternoon along party lines in a 39-28 vote, the final hurdle for the measure.
Authors of the bill say by 2016 roughly 300,000 currently uninsured Minnesotans will gain coverage through the exchange.
It's a part of Minnesota's implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
The House passed the bill on Friday.
