St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A bill legalizing medical marijuana is expected to be introduced in the Minnesota legislature this month, but it'll miss an important deadline.
Minnesotans for Compassionate Care say they need time to push the bipartisan bill, and while it'll be brought up this session, it won't be discussed until 2014.
A new poll of 600 voters by Public Policy Polling shows two-thirds support the passage of a medical marijuana law.
The measure would allow patients suffering from serious illnesses to access and use marijuana if their doctors recommend it.
18 states and Washington D.C. already have medical marijuana laws.
14 other states have introduced similar legislation.
