MN State Rep. Tom Anzelc Announces Support for Rick Nolan

Balsam Township, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota State Representative and Iron Range Legislative Delegation Chair Tom Anzelc announced his support for Rick Nolan in his bid to capture the 8th District DFL endorsement.

Nolan faces incumbent U.S. Representative Chip Cravaack in the 2010 election.

Anzelc cited that Nolan's understanding of the people he represents, his experience with fair trade and tax laws to protect American jobs, his support of miners, loggers and the tourism industry, and Nolan's willingness to fight for Medicare and Social Security is why Anzelc endorses Nolan.

Rep. Tom Anzelc joins fellow IRRRB member, former State Rep. and Eveleth Mayor Joe Begich; former State Senator and Chisholm native George Perpich (District 5); former Minnesota Senate President Don Samuelson of Brainerd; Iron Range publishing icon Veda Ponikvar and other current and former legislators including, State Rep. John Ward of Brainerd (12A); State Rep. John Persell (4A) of Bemidji, the House Assistant Minority Leader; State Rep. and Bemidji native Ryan Winkler (44B); former State Rep. Kris Hasskamp of Crosby; former State Senator Becky Lourey of Kerrick (District 8), and former Rep. Tim Faust (8B) from Mora in endorsing Nolan.
