Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A 65 year old man is dead after he fell down an elevator shaft inside a warehouse in Superior.
Authorities say Douglas Glen Moen came into the Essentia Health Emergency Room in Superior late Thursday morning complaining of injuries he sustained from a fall that occurred several hours earlier.
Moen later died in the hospital due to his injuries.
An initial investigation revealed that Moen had been working inside a warehouse on North First Street with two other man when he fell. The three of them had been moving some furniture in the building, but it was dark at the time.
Moen had gone looking for a light switch, but fell 8 to 10 feet down an elevator shaft. The other two men said they heard the noise of the fall and Moen yelling for help.
The other two men transported Moen to the hospital because he declined have an ambulance called.
